Dental emergencies can happen at anytime. But what exactly is a dental emergency?
- Toothache – an infected tooth will typically cause a toothache, and as it begins to abscess, the pain can often go away. However, the tooth is still infected and it will continue to spread until you have it fixed.
- Tooth knocked out or chipped due to an accident or injury – the sooner you can get it looked at, the more likely it can be saved.
- Loose crown – you may not have any pain, but if you don’t get to the dentist right away, the tooth can drift and cause problems when trying to recement the crown.
If you or someone you love has tooth pain, it’s likely a sign that something is wrong. If you have a dental emergency, Dr. Thomas wants to help. He can get to the root of the problem and help ease the pain in order to determine further treatment.
